Meet This Month's Featured Client: Rebecca Root

How long have you been at CES Riverton?

“I have been here for 8 years. I started while in school in 2013, then left in 2015, and came back in 2016 and have been here since”

Where do you work?

“I am currently employed by Boot Barn and Small World DayCare!”

What is your favorite part/activity/thing about CES?

“I get to hang out with friends, quilt with my friends, go swimming, go out to eat, go into the community. I like how CES teaches me new skills because I get to learn different things to better myself. I would like to live on my own again and get a drivers license so I can drive myself. I love to go to the Special Olympics, CES camp, and Girls camp with CES. I cook for others in my apartment complex and love to try new recipes sometimes.”

What’s Your Favorite Outing?

“I love to window shop alot and I love to go to the local quilt store. I love to visit my family and am happy that I am close to them by living at CES.”

We know you love to quilt, tell us about that!

“I have quilted a table topper, a table runner, and I have made 3 quilts. One quilt was for my sister (the red/white/black one in the picture), a Betty Boop Quilt for my friend, and I am currently finishing a Winnie the Pooh quilt for myself. I used a long arm quilting machine belonging to one of my staff and plan to learn more on how to do different designs. I do diamond art, latch hook, and love to learn new crafts. I love books and listen to books on tape a lot too!”
